Braslovče

The Municipality of Braslovče lies in the NW part of the valley of green gold and boasts exceptional nature, rich culture and important history. It is renowned for its vibrant landscape and rich history, which was in the Middle Ages at the Žovnek Castle strongly influenced by the Lords of Žovnek, the predecessors of the Counts of Celje. By the end of the 14th century, Braslovče also gained important market rights and in the early 1990s, it was awarded the flattering title Braslovče – European Village.
