Loška dolina

Loška dolina lies between the Bloke Plateau in the north and the Snežnik Mountain Range in the south, the beginning of the Kočevje primeval forests in the east and the oblong Javornik forest barrier in the west. It is a Karst hollow enclosed from all sides, with a fairly flat, partly flooded bottom, surrounded by higher Karst plateaus and the mighty Snežnik. The open and rather flat grassy and arable land in the middle of the forests and mountains extends over an altitude between 570 and 590 m above sea level. It is surrounded by steep slopes.
