Ajdovščina

The Municipality of Ajdovščina is an economic and cultural centre of the Vipava Valley, located in the western part of Slovenia. The area is fairly diverse in term of relief, it is flat merely at first glance. The Vipava Valley is surrounded by hills on three sides: the Trnovo Plateau, the Nanos Plateau, the Hrušica Plateau and the Vipava Hills. Since the oldest of times, Ajdovščina has had an important traffic role. A main road and a speedway run through the valley, which make Ajdovščina even more accessible in terms of transport.
