Bloke
The Bloška plateau lies on the far edge of Notranjska between the Cerkniško polje and two valleys: Loška and Ribniška. In Slovenia, there are few such flat and inhabited surfaces so high. The blocks are a plateau, which is dolomite in the northern part, and karst limestone in the southern part. Because of the specific weather conditions, it is also called Slovenian Tibet; spring frosts and early autumn salty ones are typical. On 75 km2 we have 45 villages, 14 churches, and 2 lighthouses, where about 1600 inhabitants live.
