Brda

In the extreme west of Slovenia, the beautiful, interesting and intoxicating land of Brda stretches on over 72 km2. Almost all the hills of Brda, where approximately six thousand inhabitants have arranged their homesteads, compacted into settlements, also have a church in their midst. When the weather is good, a new horizon opens up, the sea, which fertilizes the fertile soil on the flysch base with a pleasant Mediterranean climate. Excellent conditions and the hardworking hands of the locals produce countless juicy fruits of cherries, peaches, apricots, olives, figs, chestnuts and, last but not least, grapes, which on St. Martin matures into a sweet wine.
