Celje is becoming increasingly positioned on the tourist map as a city that, in addition to its recognizable historical character (the Old Castle of Celje, the Celje Regional Museum, the Celje Museum of Recent History) is distinguished by the active “city break” (the Celje Hut (Celjska koča) – adventure park, hiking, cycling, Lake Šmartinsko, Celje City Forest with the Tree House, the city park) as well as the experiential moment – Celje the city of events (Summer in Celje and Fairy-tale Celje).
