Slovenj Gradec

Slovenj Gradec – the Peace Messenger City – is the seat of the only city municipality in the Carinthia Statistical Region and the centre of the wider area. The ancient city in a basin between Pohorje and Mount St. Ursula is also a Slovenian synonym for a cultural centre where the rich tradition of the past walks in line with the modern throb. A living bond with the past and the richness of cultural heritage is the basis of cultural development and the main trait of the local identity even nowadays.
